Solar for assisted living and dementia care

Gardens at Cross Keys is a care community in Glassboro, New Jersey. Its rooftop array provides 100% of its electricity needs.

SRE developed the project. It also guided The Gardens through New Jersey's SREC financing process (SRECs are solar renewable energy certificates). That led to a 10-year supply agreement with Atlantic City Electric. The agreement let The Gardens get bank financing for the array.

How this project was set up

The Gardens owns the array; SRE developed it. A 10-year SREC supply agreement with Atlantic City Electric let The Gardens get bank financing. SRE sets up projects three ways, built around each client's tax position: direct ownership, a power service agreement (PSA) and a power purchase agreement (PPA).
