Clean energy from open land in Schuylkill Haven

The Adamsdale Solar Project sits on a 5-acre site in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania. In August 2024 it began delivering clean, renewable energy to the community.

The array is ground-mounted, with 1,976 bifacial panels and a size of 1,140 kW. It was designed to be net metered.

What the project brings

  • Lower utility costs
  • Open land put to use for sustainable infrastructure
  • Lower carbon emissions over the long term

The contract: net metered

Adamsdale Road Land Partners is net metered: power not used nearby goes back to the grid. Net metering is a billing arrangement with the grid, not one of SRE's three ways to set up a project. SRE sets up each project one of three ways: owning it outright, a power service agreement or a power purchase agreement, each built around the client's tax position.
