Solar planned in from the start

Wilsbach Distributors is a rapidly growing family business in Harrisburg.

The array was part of the building's construction plans: a roof kept clear for panels, and a white roof under them. Its 2,400 panels are two-sided (bifacial). Sunlight bounces off the white roof onto their backs, which helps them perform better. The array offsets 100% of the building's yearly electricity.

The contract: construction and purchase, owned by the client

SRE built Wilsbach Distributors' array under a construction and purchase agreement, and the property owner bought it and owns it. SRE sets up each project one of three ways: owning it outright, a power service agreement or a power purchase agreement. Each is built around the client's tax position.
